I need to get this out there to many people right now.
J C Watts and Charlie Dry operate two businesses together at 115 E. California in Bricktown: Government Procurement Solutions and American Gateway LLC. Dry is also a senior advisor at the Watts' Consulting Group in DC http://www.spoke.com/info/pFatclU/CharlieDry
On March 19, 2009 in McClain County the trustees for the Continental Gateway Authority (CGA) announced a major project to build a high tech, Homeland Security-compliant travel center along I-35 and awarded the contract to Watts' and Dry's American Gateway LLC.
http://www.purcellregister.com/article-display.asp?idnum=5072
I did some research on CGA and found their money comes from a federal grant in 2003 - 2.5 million dollar special project money. Who got those special funds for the CGA?!? Well, take a look...Congressmen J C Watts and Tom Cole.
http://www.fedspending.org/faads/faads.php?reptype=r&detail=-1&datype=T&sortby=t&recipient_cd=OK04&database=faads&recip_id=194867&fiscal_year=2003&record_num=f500
At least part of that money is being funneled through Bank 2 in Oklahoma City. If you don't know who owns Bank 2, well it's the Chickasaw Nation.
American Gateway LLC http://www.americangateway.us/ puts up a facade as if it is an established business serving the transportation business. However, they didn't come into existance until Nov. 26, 2008 and it looks like CGA is their only real customer. Less than four months later they have the CGA contract all locked up. The Oklahoma Secretary of State's filing number on the LLC is 3512212504 You have to do a Filing Number search at https://www.sooneraccess.state.ok.us/home/home-default.asp There's of course the "Gateway" in each one's name too.
Anyone want to guesstimate how many years in a federal penitentiary a former congressman funneling special project money he got from the feds and put right back in pocketbook faces?
There's lots more forthcoming about this and other projects Charlie Dry(Anita Bryant's husband) J C Watts, and Gov. Bill Anoatubby of the Chickasaw Nation (Dry's childhood friend) are involved in.

Billy got a Heisman, and all he got out of it was a chain of BBQ restaurants.
Perhaps JC's situation has more to do with all his years of service as his party's racial fig-leaf. |

I hope someone puts a sticky on this. I also hope the Feds are looking at it.
My local newspaper says that is Anatubby retires, Cole will run for chief of the Chickasaws instead of Governor. Watts says he won't run against Cole for Governor but will run if Cole opts out. |

Anoatubby is retiring at least according to my talks with Charlie Dry. The efforts right now are to get someone in that will help keep the corruption flowing. It was Cole who got J C Watts involved in politics in the first place and helped him get the appropriations for the McClain County project. Dry even hinted at his own run for Chickasaw governor if needed. I believe it all comes down to what Cole will do and I think he'd prefer to do the Chickasaw gig as the money flow base is already established and has less oversight than a state governorship would. Dry is friends with both Mary Fallin and Watts, but says since he's partners with Watts he'll have to support him for state governor if he runs.
Since making the original post, I've discovered that Watts/Cole obtained a total of $3,477,750 in federal funding for CGA. The CGA went along for years without doing much and as soon as Watts and Dry opened shop as American Gateway the CGA started doing contracts. |

Remember when Corporation Commissioner J.C.Watts was caught on FBI tape taking "walking around money" from Bill Anderson, a utility lobbyist? Anderson went to prison for bribing Corporation Commissioner Robert (Bob) Hopkins, also convicted in this case.
Watts escaped prosecution. Vicki Miles-LaGrange, Chief U.S. District Judge for the Western District of Oklahoma, requested that entire United States Attorney's office in Oklahoma City be removed from the case. |

| I thought Cole had already ruled out running for governor. I am sure I read that both here and in the Oklahoman. By what I have read, he seems to be going to stay in Congress, assuming he wins re-election of course. |

gossup Boy has a transcript of that wiretap on J C Watts at http://gossup-boy.com/AnitasNewHate.html
I believe Miles-LaGrange ended up being removed from office over the event. |

| Earl Cole said last week he wouldn't be running for governor. He claims he wants to stay in Congress, but that doesn't mean much at this point. |

Miles-LaGrange is still a Federal judge. Did you mean to say she was removed from the Watts case? |

My bad Jim. I reviewed the full article and it says Miles-Lagrange removed the entire U.S. Attorney's Office from investigating Watts - a friend of hers.
"After Mr. Anderson and Mr. Hopkins were indicted, Mr. Watts said, he complained to the prosecutors because his name kept appearing in news reports. ''I said, 'I feel like I'm being hung out to dry here,' '' he recalled. ''I felt I needed something to clear my name.''
On Jan. 7, 1994, Gary L. Richardson, a former Federal prosecutor in Tulsa and a friend of Mr. Watts, asked the Federal prosecutors to issue a news release on Mr. Watts's status.
A reply came in a letter written by John E. Green, the first assistant United States Attorney, on official stationery from the United States Attorney, Vicki Miles-LaGrange. Mr. Green wrote: ''Commissioner Watts has been a friend of both Vicki Miles-LaGrange and myself for a number of years, my friendship going back to his days as a freshman quarterback at the University of Oklahoma.''
The letter continued: ''We consider him our friend and would do anything within possible bounds (we have told him how to handle the situation), to relieve whatever cast of doubt, suspicion and morale problems that might exist at the Oklahoma Corporation Commission over any alleged investigation.''
Mr. Green wrote that his office could not assure anyone that no Federal agency was investigating him, but ''at this point we do not know of any type of investigation concerning any present or former Corporation Commissioners.''
Mr. Watts read the letter at a news conference in February 1994, saying the cloud of controversy was gone.
''I was not involved in any wrongdoing, nor had I ever been a target of their investigation,'' he said. ''The fact they had me under observation in early March 1991 was a result of the institution, the Corporation Commission, being investigated, not me.''
Four months later, at the request of Ms. Miles-LaGrange, the entire United States Attorney's office in Oklahoma City was removed from the case. Carl Stern, the Justice Department spokesman, said: ''There was a concern that the public would not have confidence in the U.S. Attorney's office's impartiality.''"
An extensive article on the wiretap and corruption allegations is at http://www.nytimes.com/1998/11/16/us/rising-congressional-leader-experienced-in-self-defense.html?sec=&spon=&pagewanted=all

| Very, very interesting. I'm forwarding this to a couple of reporters who seem to be interested in facts, and I'll see if anything comes of it. |

| J. C. Watts continually pushes the envelope to skirt any law or regulation that interferes with him or his buddies making money. He's definitely someone whose business practices should be considered cutting edge. Meaning cutting the edge of ethics. http://www.nytimes.com/2006/11/11/business/11watts.html?_r=1&&pagewanted=all |

James, James, James, James, James. I hope I can help you with some of your information. First of all, let me say that it's best not to believe everything that you're told, especially by people like Mr. Dry, who are not insiders, no matter how much they wish they were. I'm reliably told it is no secret that Mr. Dry is challenged by the truth and by honesty. I also assure you that he and Governor Anoatubby were not childhood friends-- Charlie is much older-- nor are they what might be called "friends" today.
As for the governor's "retirement," I have no idea where that came from, but as someone who is fairly close to Governor Anoatubby and who works with him on a daily basis, I can assure you that retirement is not in the immediate picture.
Using as "evidence" that someone is banking with a bank owned by the Chickasaw Nation is about as logical as blaming General Motors because a bank robber drove a Chevrolet. I assure you that Governor Anoatubby is not "in business" with any of those mentioned in your comments. Mr. Dry's choice to use Bank2 was simply that-- his CHOICE.
This statement is the one that perhaps bothers me the most: "There's lots more forthcoming about this and other projects Charlie Dry(Anita Bryant's husband) J C Watts, and Gov. Bill Anoatubby of the Chickasaw Nation (Dry's childhood friend) are involved in."
As an acquaintance of yours, James, I hope you understand my concerns. I am not concerned that you might "find" anything which might involve Governor Anoatubby in any sort of 'crooked' or questionable business dealing with ANYone, because I know him to be an honest and honorable person; I am, however, concerned that your zeal may not provide you with the results you desire and that there might be a temptation to jump to conclusions, as in your inferences of the governor's and/or the tribe's involvement through Bank2.
I enjoy reading gossupboy.com and commend you for some of the results of your efforts. Just please remember this brand of journalism is often fraught with perils. Using honey every once in a while may result in better results than constant use of vinegar.
I hope to see you soon and to talk in person.
